Founded in 2021 by Owner-Operator, Chelsea Nightengale, Charleston Sugar Studio is more than just a haven for delicious treats – it's a celebration of life and culture. We cherish the relationships we build with our community and strive to be a part of life’s sweetest moments.

A graduate of The Culinary Institute of America, Nightengale's journey in the hospitality industry has been nothing short of a culinary adventure. With over a decade of experience in the heart of the Big Apple, she lent her skills to iconic establishments like Corner Table Restaurant's, The Smith, and L’Adresse at Bryant Park.

In pursuit of family roots and a connection to the charming Low Country, Nightengale and her husband found their way to Charleston, SC. For nearly five years, Nightengale served as the General Manager of The Restoration Hotel, a Luxury Boutique Hotel nestled in Downtown Charleston. However, the creative itch never left her, and the desire to build something uniquely hers grew stronger. And so, Charleston Sugar Studio was born.

At Charleston Sugar Studio, we take pride in using the highest quality and local ingredients whenever possible. Each confection is crafted with care, marrying the richness of the Low Country with a dash of Nightengale's culinary ingenuity. We're not your average bakery; we're a little left of center and unapologetically fun.
